Internships Opportunities
The internship program at Amigos Bravos provides an opportunity for high school and college students to obtain hands-on experience in water policy, science-based research, and restoration work.
The goals of the internship will be determined by mutual agreement between the student, the sponsoring professor (if applicable), and the Amigos Bravos Internship Coordinator. Those goals will be outlined within the Internship Contract, which additionally outlines the number of hours per week that the student agrees to work, a general outline of the hours and days per week to be worked, and other obligations incurred by each of the signing parties as a component of the internship.
The spirit of the Amigos Bravos internship program is one of mutual benefit. The intern expects to learn new tasks and acquire new capabilities, and Amigos Bravos expects to receive competent assistance on a viable research project. It is our hope that the experience gained by the student will be invaluable in future career pursuits. Prior to the termination of the internship, the student will be expected to present a report to Amigos Bravos staff describing some aspect of the student’s intern experience.
